A simple four-week routine
- Week 1: pages 1 and 2 (lowercase letters), one page per day, twice through. Add the one-letter sheet for any letter that gives trouble.
- Week 2: page 5 (letter joins) and page 6 (words). Joins are where cursive starts to feel like writing.
- Week 3: pages 3 and 4 (capitals) and page 7 (sentences).
- Week 4: page 8 and blank paper. Write a short note, a list, a favorite quote, without a model.

Cursive practice sheet questions
What is the difference between a cursive practice sheet and a cursive worksheet?
On this site a practice sheet is a page of rows to trace and copy, with no instruction on it. A worksheet for a single letter adds a reference box with the letter and how to write it. The 8-page practice set is meant for daily repetition once the letters have been introduced.
How often should a child use cursive practice sheets?
Ten to fifteen minutes a day, four or five days a week, is enough. One page a day of the 8-page set makes a good routine; then rotate in the one-letter sheets for letters that still need work.
Are these cursive practice sheets suitable for adults?
Yes. Adults relearning cursive use the same pages; the 3/8 inch blank paper is closer to adult handwriting size for free practice.
Can I print these for my class?
Yes, every PDF is free for personal and classroom use, with no limit on copies.
