Who is behind the site

PrintableCursive is an independent educational publisher with no ties to any handwriting curriculum company. The domain has hosted free cursive worksheets since 2013; the current site was rebuilt from scratch in 2026 so that every worksheet, every letter page and every chart uses the same school cursive, on screen and on paper.

The stroke descriptions on the letter pages follow the stroke groups used by the traditional US handwriting programs (undercurve, downcurve, overcurve and slant strokes) as documented in their published teacher materials. If you are a teacher or occupational therapist and spot something that does not match what you teach, tell us; corrections are made quickly.

How the worksheets are made

• One font everywhere. The letters are set in Learning Curve, a school-cursive typeface by Blue Vinyl Fonts drawn in the Zaner-Bloser tradition, with a dashed version for tracing. The same font renders the pages you read and the PDFs you print.
• Three-line guides at classroom proportions. Top line, dashed midline and baseline, with the midline at half height, so short and tall letters sit where a teacher expects them.
• Trace, copy, write. Each row moves from a solid model to dashed letters to blank space, the progression used in handwriting curricula.
• US Letter size, which also prints correctly on A4 at 100%.

Which cursive style

The traditional US school style, commonly called Zaner-Bloser style. It is the script most American adults learned and the one most schools still teach. All worksheets are free for personal use and for classroom use by teachers, tutors and homeschool families. Print as many copies as you need for your own students. Please do not resell the PDFs or upload them to other websites; link to the page instead.
